I expanded this article and added wikilinks. However, it's unclear whether Gerry was a philanthropist, or whether he was active in causes popular in his aristocratic circle, and his children just spent money lavishly. There's a photo in the Tammany Times article cited, and it should be long out of copyright, but I'm not sure how to get it since the free ebook link doesn't seem to be working, and my time available for this is limited.Jweaver28 (talk) 19:54, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
