Why isn't the original text forthe Wiki article included in this biased page. The Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act 2013 Having passed both Houses of the Oireachtas in July 2013, it was signed into law on 30 July by Michael D. Higgins, the President of Ireland,[3] and commenced on 1 January 2014.[4]. There is an article on the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act 2013, which is where it should belong. This article is about the 8th amendment. Not the entirity of Irish abortion law and cases, just that constitutional amendment. I know in common speech "the 8th" is used to refer to Ireland's abortion laws, but this should be about this constituional change. There is a separate article for Abortion in the Republic of Ireland, perhaps you'd like to look there? ____Ebelular (talk) 10:08, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Also, 88.87.166.18, as mentioned several times to you now, you can't just copy-and-paste content from one place to another. What do the "[3]" and "[4]" in your insertion refer to? Offences Against the Person Act 1861

Whoever wrote this article was a little confused about the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, which codified the common law and didn't criminalize abortion in itself. Abortion was illegal in England since time immemorial, and I suspect that was also the case in Ireland. Wereon (talk) 23:40, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
