Someone reverted my change edit

I changed "US annexation of the Philippines" to "US colonization of the Philippines" and someone reverted it. They say it's my point of view or idk. Well annexation is a point of view aswell, and Philippines were a US colony and treated as a colony, it had even a colonial status.

It should be fixed now — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.50.184 (talk) 22:27, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

That is bullshit. It is sad that Wikipeida is also a propaganda machinery for American imperialism. Brain washing of the worst type is brain washing that you don't know you are being brain washed. That robs you your freedom of thought. You can include in that all material produce in the US and its cronies - art, science, news and entertainment.
I miss communism where I used to have freedom of thought, if not freedom of speech. I live in the west now and am struggling everyday to keep my freedom of thought and losing that battle by the day. 199.185.120.103 (talk) 09:57, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Is there a strong reason for the peculiar order? 99.228.43.228 (talk) 20:54, 17 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Declaration of war edit

The lead para of the article currently states: "Neither the Chinese nor the quasi-concerted foreign allies issued a formal declaration of war."

But then this article also exists Imperial decree of declaration of war against foreign powers which states: "The declaration of war was one of the direct causes of the Boxer Rebellion and the Eight-Nation Alliance's formation, which then led to Boxer Protocol."

So which is it? Was there not a declaration of war by the Qing here. Gotitbro (talk) 08:52, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, weird. Unless this is some case of people from their specific time not seeing actions from any earlier period as "official" according to some weird criterion, the Qing definitely officially declared war. Remsense 08:58, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
