Standard Gauge Locomotive edit

The published articles referring to Teddy Boston's locomotives at Cadeby: there are references to a standard gauge locomotive (Peckett 2012/1941), currently on loan from the Lavender Line to the National Railway Museum at York.

Does anyone know:

  1. is it true that Teddy once owned this locomotive (currently named 'TEDDY' in his memory)?
  2. when did he acquire it?
  3. where did it come from?

I am trying to research the history of this locomotive; find me (Jim Pike) at pat1933.co.uk. Thank you.

I only have the two books listed under 'Publications', and these are not to hand, sorry. (Well worth a read though -- check out eBay.) -- EdJogg (talk) 12:59, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Date of birth edit

I found his birth on FreeBMD [1].

Births Sep 1924 Boston Edwin R. Solihull

Someone will have to apply for the birth certificate if they really want to know an accurate date. Births are indexed in quarters which means that he was born sometime between the beginning of July 1924 and the end of September 1924. At least this enabled me to remove the December birth date which was definitely wrong. Periglio (talk) 17:48, 8 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
