Assessment edit

Sorry, but this article, IMO, is no where near a GA, and I would withdraw the nomination for now. I would call this a "start" class article because of entirely missing sections and analysis; it is not at all complete. The plot section is not a plot summary. Much of the information in the plot section belongs instead in background or reception sections. A "plot" should simply describe the events of the piece from the beginning to the end, describing the characters, what they so, see and feel; divided by "acts" "scenes" or "movements" if there are any. You need to describe the piece, and what happens in it, in your own words. Quoting the reviews is not a good way to write a plot. See Sylvia (ballet), Swan Lake and The Nutcracker for ideas on how to write a much more complete dance or ballet article. There are very few good quality wikipedia articles about dance pieces! There is little cast/technical information here about the extensive touring productions. Has it always been the same cast, director, etc? The reception section might be add an "analysis" section, where you include commentary about the piece itself, its imagery, themes, etc. There is no discussion of the music itself. Is it rock? What musical influences and styles does it show? What about the choreography? This is a dance piece, so it should describe the choreographic styles and how choregraphy is used to tell the story. -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:25, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Infobox edit

I would delete the following productions from the infobox: Australian Tour, 2008 Britain (unless it was in a West End or other major venue), 2009 European Tour. The infobox should really only be for B'way, West End, US and UK national tours. I have already added our usual "catch all": "International productions". An Australian national tour is not a "major production" that needs to be mentioned in the infobox, unless it went on for, say, 5 years. You may find more color on this in various old discussions at the WP:MUSICALS talk page. But you don't want a long list of productions in the infobox. The purpose of listing ANY productions in the info box is just to give the reader an idea that the piece has been produced in major venues. The long list doesn't add anything of interest. Keep the production info for the production section. -- Ssilvers (talk) 16:03, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
