source... edit

I expanded one of the bare references in this article. I emailed the contact email on the site that mirrored the Globe article, asking for clarification that the Globe authorized them to mirror the article. Some newpapers do that, as a courtesy to the public for reliable not for profit organizations.

If they don't write back, or they state they don't have explicit permission for the mirroring I suggest that reference be removed.

Well, if they don't have permission, just remove the URL, don't remove the entire reference. Cheers. Sherurcij (Speaker for the Dead) 18:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Questionable source "thefacesbehind.net" edit

This source was used in the article and i have substituted it with a {cn} tag because it does not meet basic requirements of WP:RS. It is not clear: Who is the author? Does the author and publisher have a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy? Who is the publisher? Who owns the website?... IQinn (talk) 03:02, 18 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notability edit

So Sapiano's a working criminal lawyer, which means that his cases are by necessity reported in the news - this is true for literally every criminal lawyer in the developed world. Does this make him personally notable? Would working on notable cases make him individually notable? The Dancing Badger (talk) 02:08, 20 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Not all criminal cases are reported in the news - if that was the case, there would be hundreds reported on a weekly basis alone. Only cases which are considered 'notable' or high-profile are reported. In any event, I have added more citations of other 'wikipedia-worthy' cases which mention him as the lawyer. Any individual who plays a major or contributing role to a deemed notable case, event, or situation is notable, yes. The starving researcher (talk) 05:23, 25 March 2016 (UTC).Reply
