This article makes no sense. S/MIME is an end-to-end encryption method, it cannot be provided as service. (ok, technically it could, but it would be pointless). -Yyy (talk) 10:30, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Suggested Edits edit

As I am editing with a COI, I am suggesting the following edits rather than making them myself. I've attempted to remain neutral and used third-party references for all of my citations.

General Description The information regarding type of encryption used cites sources that are either out of date or a press release. I'm not convinced it's necessary to include it in the article, and think removing it should be discussed.

I would suggest this addition to the section:

History Remove sections on Sun Microsystems, Tiscali and McAfee. These companies no longer work with Echoworx and the majority of references for these sections are no longer working. This information is likely to confuse readers and so should be removed.

It's somewhat confusing to begin the History section with reference to a partnership rather than company history, so I'd suggest adding the following, and possibly moving "founded in 2000" from the intro description to History.

Suggested addition

Echoworx is headed by CEO and President Michael Ginsberg, formerly CEO of CertaPay, an email money transfer technology company[1].

New Section:Product Offering I'm suggesting adding a new section on product offering. This will provide more information on Echoworx's notability as it shows their contributions to the industry. I've only included products on which there has been significant coverage by other media.

Suggested New Section

Product Offering

Echoworx offers several products in the area of email encryption. Their products are offered both through direct sales and as a white-labelled product[1] through several partners. Major offerings include:

  • OneWorld - A policy-based email encryption solution designed to work with multiple platforms. OneWorld supports PGP, S/MIME and TLS, in addition to encrypted PDF attachments and a secure web portal[2].
  • Encrypted Mail Gateway - A cloud-based solution that uses enterprise policies to encrypt emails[3]
  • Encrypted Message Exchange - A fully hosted secure web-based email portal[4]
  • mobilEncrypt - On-device email encryption for iOS, Android and BlackBerry products[5]. mobilEncrypt was response to a growing trend of BYOD policies in businesses[6]
