Article re-write

I had been meaning to do it for a long time, but I finally got around to it tonight. I've made a major re-write of this article, from a mere lists of facts copied from the Eastern website to a coherent article. I've got most of the major section, except history, since I only know a few things about it. I invite someone who knows more to write that section. Also, anything else people can see to add is also welcomed. May the new era of this article begin now...--Dymero 08:05, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

I'll try to get on the history part, I've been spending way too much time in the stacks for class so I'll see what I can try and find out. With that being said, should it be put into the same article or put as the History of Willimantic State College? 147AM (talk) 21:32, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
There is no Willimantic State College for one, lol. And, I think it should exist in this same article, as I don't think any history of ECSU would be detailed enough to warrant its own article. None of the articles on the other state universities have separate articles on history. --Dymero (talk) 03:08, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Carter Link to Senator

I'm a little wary of using an opinion article as a reference for the linking of Senator Gaffey and Chancellor Carter. According to WP:Verifiability's Questionable Sources section, sources that use personal opinions should not be used.

As for the section itself, his only involvement in it appears to be a flimsily related sale of Final Four tickets to Gaffey, that may or may not have prompted Gaffey to fight for the money for the CSU. The time of the sale was a little less than two years before he became Chancellor, while he was still President.

I'm all for including it if there's actually any evidence that Carter influenced Gaffey improperly, but I think we'd need a stronger source to back it up.

Anyone? --Dymero (talk) 03:35, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:ECSU Clock Tower.gif

Image:ECSU Clock Tower.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
