Suggestions for improvement

edit

Some ideas that I have for improving this article include:

  • A list of Colonels of the Regment or equivalent
  • Some pictures
  • A unit badge, or colours
  • Outline of deployments that the Regiment has participated in, e.g. UN peacekeeping operations
  • A section on battle honours (if they exist for this Regt), or any decorations or awards that its members might have received
  • Expanded references, or a list of sources/bibliography

I do not possess this information, so an unable to assist in this regard. But if anyone out there can help, please feel free to do so. Cheers. AustralianRupert (talk) 23:59, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Improvements still required

edit

This article requires improvement in the following areas:

  • References and citations
  • Grammar and spelling
  • Removal of statements based on the personal opinion of the author

As I am unfamiliar with this particular regiment I am unable to help with this article, however an author more familiar may be able to assist. Exemplo347 (talk) 16:39, 7 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

March 2017 copy editors guild backlog cleanup drive Comment

edit

Hi! This article was flagged for copy editing in June 2016. I picked it up in the March 2017 backlog cleanup drive. It needs some upkeep with more RS material; there are some claim laden statements which are confusing and hard to clean up because they lack any source. One of the sources cited appears to contain much of the text of the its unclear article: http://www.defencebd.com/2010/11/east-bengal-regiment.html Its unclear whether the article was copied and used for the article or whether the cited source is simply a circular of Wiki - the source is date 2010 and the article dates back to 2005. Either way, the article needs some upkeep from someone with knowledge of the topic. Curdigirl (talk) 05:16, 31 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the copypaste tag because defencebd.com is a copy of the Wikipedia article rather than the other way around. I've also added to a "further reading" section three potential sources that focus mainly on the history of the regiment up to 1971. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:17, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
