I/V plots edit

We need to upload the standard Ic vs. Vce plots, which clearly show the Early effect as a linear slope... I will try to create such plots later today. Nimur 16:53, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's already one in the german wikipedia and an other one in the french's one. Yves-Laurent 22:48, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Brews ohare edits edit

You can't just say "In fact these equations are not accurate, although they appear in most textbooks" without citing a source. Of course, good sources for the equations that are there are also needed. I find for example this book or this one. It doesn't really matter how accurate these are, unless there's a source commenting on that. So I'm going to restore the pre-Brews version again and add some fact tags to it, OK? BO, since you put it back with most of the same problems, I took a stab at editing it. Thanks for the PSPICE manual page with the VCB in the equation. Please see if I got it right, and let us know what sources you have on this stuff. Thanks. Dicklyon 06:26, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Scope of article edit

Since the early effect also occurs with MOSFETs, we should probably improve this article to reflect this somehow. Underworldguardian (talk) 23:50, 11 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

MOSFET equations and use of Early effect terminology edit

Early effect applies to BJTs and channel-length modulation applies to MOSFETs. Therefore, having equations for MOSFETs in this article only creates confusion. Channel-length modulation can be mentioned but the equations should not be here. Besides, using the term Early effect to refer to channel-length modulation is not only improper but also anachronistic.

Large-signal model of the transistor edit

Need to define 'Is' in the expression. It's not yet defined in the article page.

The depletion regions in pictures are all wrong edit

Base is doped the least and because of that depletion regions portions of the base should spread the most. It should be much more bigger than the emitter's side (the opposite is shown on the picture) and it should a little more than the collector side. 176.62.42.175 (talk) 21:24, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
