Talk:Earl of Stradbroke

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

Robert Keith Rous is not the eldest son. John Rous, owner of Clovelly and director of its Estate Company, was born in 1950 and is also a son of the 5th Earl of Stradbroke. I can't find any sources on this but I know it's true as I am local and have worked for him!

The 6th Earl (b. 1937) is the elder son of the late 5th Earl (1907-1983) by his first wife (the younger son was the late Colonel the Hon. Sir William Rous (1939-1999)). The Hon. John Rous (b. 1950) is the only son of the 5th Earl by his second wife, and so the 6th Earl's younger half-brother. The current heir, Robert, Viscount Dunwich (b. 1961), is the eldest of eight sons of the 6th Earl. Proteus (Talk) 17:03, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
