I would edit the second sentence: "Intended as a means of strengthening the bonds between royal families, clans or states rather than the bridegroom, the dynastic marriages were known at least since the times of Ancient Egypt." if I could figure out what it was supposed to mean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.96.210.230 (talk) 17:55, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
