British atrocity category edit

The inclusion of this article in this category has raised questions for me. From where were the militia and yeomanry recruited? The article reads as if they were locally recruited from the citizenry - is this so? The article also suggests that the executions were summarily carried out on the initiative of the local garrison, without higher authority. If both points are true, then it's less a "British" atrocity than inter-communal, in the same way as, say, Rwanda or St. Bartholomew's Day in France or, indeed, the massacres of Protestants during the 1641 Rebellion. NPOV concerns edit

Based on terminology and grouping I have some questions about WP:NPOV and a broader view might be needed. Dkendr (talk) 20:00, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is part of an educational assignment and we are working on this issue. It would help if you would be more specific. auntieruth (talk) 17:00, 21 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
