Acquisition or merger edit

The cited FT article describes it as an acquisition by Deloitte. This article should only be changed to "merger" if this is verifiable from independent sources. See WP:Identifying reliable sources. - Fayenatic (talk) 13:13, 27 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Drivers JonasDrivers Jonas Deloitte — Drivers Jonas merged with Deloitte so Drivers Jonas no longer exists as a firm. Property Editor (talk) 11:00, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • On the other hand, DJD doesn't exist as a firm either; it is a trading name of Deloitte LLP, the UK member firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited. (See About us at the DJD website.) At least DJ is sufficiently notable as a separate article, but if there was an article on DJD, it should probably be merged into Deloitte. Is the latter the best thing to do anyway? - Fayenatic (talk) 08:05, 21 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. OK, so the company merged. That is not a reason to delete the old article. It should remain and a link about the merger to the old company name should be in the Deloitte article, and this link is already there. Vegaswikian (talk) 00:40, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Per the discussion above (and per a discussion at Talk:Lendlease where it was decided to move acquired companies back under their old names), this article should not be moved to Drivers Jonas Deloitte / Deloitte Real Estate etc. without further discussion and consensus.
