Prod edit

I've prodded this for deletion EvanCarroll (talk) 06:41, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've remobved the prod tag (shouldn't it have gone in the article anyway??) ... for the record the objections listed by EvanCarroll (talk) were: "(a) the article lacks all sources per WP:CITE, (b) the subject has not established notability per WP:A, the material is WP:BALLOCK -- the second, roughly half the article states: Dreamland was demolished in 1909, but in 1912 Luna Park was opened in the same area. Luna Park is still open and operating today and over the last several years has been undergoing a refurbishing. There are rides, foods, games and shops in Luna Park today. How can a park in Australia compete against a park in Coney Island? Moreover, (c) the article leads me to believe it is being confused with with Dreamland (amusement park)" ... I agree that sources need to be included in the article, but I'm not sure if the BALLOCK reference is even serious ... was WP:CB intended? If so, it doesn't seem relevant. Some of the content more properly belongs in the article on Melbourne's Luna Park. I also don't understand why the sentence "How can a park in Australia compete against a park in Coney Island?" was included. Stumps (talk) 03:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've added an otheruses template to avoid any confusion with the Coney Island park of the same name. Stumps (talk) 04:12, 20 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
