Big mystery of the 12 gods edit

I was re-reading the recent GN collections of Dreadstar, when I recalled that during the original run there was a background mystery about the 12 gods. The High Church shipped to them some useless (it seemed) mineral. I don't recall that Starlin every explained what that all was. Anyone know? --Emb021 15:25, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

The substance was called Catorlite, but I don't remember what it was. I'll check through my Dreadstar collection to see if it was ever identified. Not much luck when I Google it. - Dreadlocke 20:10, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
It was never really indentified other than being a junk metal with no use, and no value as it was extremely common in the Empirical Galaxy. It was stated in the comic, near the very end of Jim Starlin's run (issue 38, maybe?) by the 12 Gods themselves that they ate the catorlite as it contained some material they needed to sustain themselves.Xbriskox (talk) 15:54, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

pre-Dreadstar Metamorphasis Odessy edit

I remember 3 (I think) stories that Starlin did that preceding the beginning of the Dreadstar series. One was Marvel Graphic Novel #3 "Dreadstar". I can't exactly remember the others; was one called The Prince or The Price?? All from the early 80's. Please add details, if you know. ike9898 02:14, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Its "The Price". It gave the 'origin' of Styzgy before he met Dreadstar. The Dreadstar GN came next, chronologically, after Metamorphasis Odyssey. Then there was a followon story in Epic Illustrated, then the comic began. Emb021 16 March 2006
