There were two film articles that existed at the same time. This one is under the proper naming conventions. However, the content should be placed on the source material's article; see the reason below. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 20:52, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Merge

Per notability guidelines for films, this article should be merged to Dragon Ball in a "Live-action film adaptation" section. It does not warrant its own article yet; a lot of projects stop short of ever entering production, even when they appear so close. Your right. Guidelines say, "Films which have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced shooting should not have their own articles." It sounds like they definitely haven't begun filming. Jecowa 05:24, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Should it go on the Dragon Ball Z article instead of the Dragon Ball article? I think the story of this movie is supposed to start at the same place that Dragon Ball Z starts at. Also, instead of deleting this page, could we blank it out and stick a link on it to the section in the article that it is being moved to? Jecowa 05:33, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Whoops, I didn't realize a Dragon Ball Z article existed. The film article just mentioned Dragon Ball, so I went with that. Yes, content can be placed there instead, and a redirect can be created from here to there. If the film enters production, it would warrant a stand-alone article. This has been done with items like Spider-Man 4 and The Hobbit (2009 film). There are some examples of film articles that need to be merged, but that's an agenda in progress. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 11:41, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Deletion

The article says that nothing is locked in for the production of this film. A lot of projects in the film industry may linger in development hell for some time, sometimes finally being produced, sometimes never making progress. See Jurassic Park IV for such an example.
