Cleanup and Expansion edit

This article is woefully underdeveloped and undersourced, which is surprising considering the importance and not to mention well coverage of the character. Out of all the articles that I have seen and worked on, this one along with the article on the novel itself is probably the worst article that I have seen in terms of its importance and negligence it has recieved. The article itself is not developed in the correct style for fictional characters (see WikiProject Fictional characters/Style guide for more details), which means that the article needs to be rewritten in order to fit the correct style for a fictional character. Much of the information in this article is unsourced and needs to either be given proper citations or removed from the article. I doubt that I will list all the things that need to be done to this article as they are too numerous, but, with that being said, more attention must be given for this article in order for it to meet Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 16:59, 7 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Lanyon edit

Who exactly is Lanyon? He's first mentioned in the article as if the reader is supposed to know who he is. It seems to be implied that he is a friend of Jekyll, but it should be clarified just whom Lanyon actuall is in the context of the novella. 71.226.227.121 (talk) 14:31, 5 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Having not read the original novella, I had the same thought when I read the plot synopsis. So, I went to the synopsis for the full book and pulled out key details that explain who Lanyon is and what relevance his letter has, as the time that Utterson and Poole find Hyde's body. I then went through the rest of the section and cleaned up some repetition of details caused by my adding a bit more information about Lanyon earlier in the synopsis. I think it's clearer now.
