Talk:Douwe Dabbert

I translated this page from the original Dutch page, just to try my first translation on Wikipedia. Any corrections are always welcome. I started translating the albumtitles too, but stopped before finishing. BenjaminBollen 16:24, 11 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I always figured Douwe Dabbert as a human with dwarfism. Is he really supposed to be a gnome? B. Meijlink 06:43, 13 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Probably not. He has a bit of wizard blood however. ThW5 10:01, 15 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
I would agree that Douwe isn't a gnome, per se, but a short human, with some wizard blood, of course. I'm a huge fan of this series, and own all the albums, so expect some page expanding soon :) Mirithing 17:28, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps a reference should be made to "Hammerspace" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammerspace) or "Magic satchel" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_satchel) as this is a central feature in the comic.

Good idea! It is, indeed, an important part of the plot, and as such needs to be in the article. I'll get on it as soon as I get my complete collection of Douwe Dabbert comics back (moved across the country to tiny student housing, with little room for comics -_-), and try to fix the in-comic citations while I'm at it :) Mirithing (talk) 13:56, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

23 long stories + 5 short stories edit

Actually, i owned almost all the DD comics except for no.22 (return to the animal kingdom). So... the article only put down the 23 titles of the main journeys of DD. There are also a few handful of (not too) short stories about our good ol' dwarf, but i only knew 5 of them (which i owned myself) and im not sure to add this into the article because i have no other reliable reference about these short stories. There is not even a single official website about this comic in english (sigh..) -- Yandri (talk) 05:42, 14 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
