Confusion over Dollarhide's status as first African American mayor of a California city

The Lake Elsinore page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Elsinore,_California) says that Tom Yarborough (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Yarborough) was elected mayor of Lake Elsinore in 1966, three years before Douglas Dollarhide became the mayor of Compton, and thus Yarborough was the first black mayor in the state of California.
