EraserGirl comments edit

All of the information passed along about Dorothy Hale, seems to stem from her few attempts as a film actress. I purchased a copy of the NYT obituary and referenced print sources to create a more rounded picture of the life of Dorothy Hale and related the exact circumstances of her death. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EraserGirl (talkcontribs)

Hanover House edit

Adding the image of the building actually clarified some facts in the article. The building is taller than sixteen stories. She couldn't possibly afford to live on the top floor, and if she had thrown herself off a top floor she would have hit a lower balcony. Therefore, she must have lived on the sixteenth floor as most references state, but the sixteenth floor was NOT the top of the building. Hence a straight drop right to the pavement. Poor Dorothy, another myth busted.. EraserGirl (talk) 17:37, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The hotel website states 37 stories. --Red Sunset 18:09, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Looking at the photo, it looks more like 27 stories! --Red Sunset 18:14, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is probably a typo on their part, OR there is a section behind what is picture that goes up higher, or even lower for that matter, it IS New York after all. Regardless, I wonder how many stories it had in 1938? 37 would have been extremely unusual for an apartment building. 8) EraserGirl (talk) 18:18, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
