Is the mention of retiring her characters after her death correct? I still have seen Lunchlady Doris on The Simpsons since then.

  • Seen, yes, but you've also seen Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz as well. The important thing is you've heard none of these people, as they did not want to replace the voice actors after the deaths of Grau and Hartman. So, yes, for all plot purposes, they are retired, and only are seen in crowds, I think.Eric Sieck 06:47, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • I saw her on an episode recently where she did have a few lines. It was a brand new episdode. It sounded just like her. They had to have taken old sound clips of her and edited it together, because no doubt about it, it was her! 68.51.147.38 21:52, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Photo? edit

Is anyone able to get a picture of her? I've been searching for years on the web to get one. Can't find any though. 68.51.147.38 21:52, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Thanks! I uploaded it and put it on the page! How you found it, I don't know, because I've been searching for an image for five years now. Thank you! Supergeeky1 05:41, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Did some minor sentence rearrangement so that the article didn't repeat itself. 75.74.167.210 15:37, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image of Doris Grau edit

Listen - maybe it's me and I drank too much Koolade, but I seriously doubt that the image purported to be that of Grau is really her. I mean anyone who knows anything about her knows that she hit her prime in her 60s as a chain-smoking Selma Diamond/Florence Halop-type voice actor and occasional guest performer. This image is of a gorgeous teenager or twenty-something max.

I think somebody is playing a joke. I tried to access the link provided from which the image was uploaded but I couldn't; pbly my crappy ISP.

Anyway, please let me in on any 411. Thanks.O'Donoghue 11:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

P.S. There is no photo of Grau available on IMDb - if any site had a real photo of her, it would be IMDb. Caveat emptor.O'Donoghue 11:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • You could be right, but I seriously doubt that the woman in that image is twenty, I would guess about 32 to 33. I've never heard anything about her being in her sixtys, but the image may be a younger image of her. Just today I found a gallery of images, where there are two images: the one that I had posted, and one that really looks like it could be her. I got that image from a web site of photos of actors. I'll include a link to the two photos, I gotta find it first. Supergeeky1 22:29, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • I can't find the second image, but I did find out that that image is deffinately not her. The name of that woman is Doris Caflisch and she sells compasses, :D. Here is a link to the site for proof. http://www.iwa.ch/engl/index.php?menu=3&smenu=6. I'll try and find the other image where it has to be her. Supergeeky1 22:35, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
