Pedigree Query calls him black/brown which is incorrect. TBHeritage calls him a "light bay" which is very dubious. Paintings and photographs suggest that Donovan was a dark bay. Tigerboy1966 (talk) 17:03, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds like Pedigree Query is more correct; in the US, some Thoroughbreds are described as "dark bay or brown". With a very dark bay, it's tough to see the points.--Miniapolis (talk) 20:06, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
