Talk:Disorders of calcium metabolism

note

edit

There seems to be an error in this article. While it says in the Calcium metabolism article that ionized calcium-levels are not affected by albumin-levels and that "The biologic effect of calcium is determined by the amount of ionized calcium, rather than the total calcium", in this article it says "The amount of biologically active calcium varies with the level of serum albumin". What does it mean? I´m confused, aren´t they contradictive?

this article doesn't talk about calcium metabolism at all, it only mention the normal range of serum level —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.234.21.38 (talk) 00:00, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

There are many more disorders of calcium metabolism

edit

This article needs to be expanded to include disorders such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, renal osteodystrophy, ectopic calcification etc. Cruithne9 (talk) 11:30, 7 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
