Crime edit

"Disappearance of George Smith" is about an American man who disappeared overboard the cruise ship MS Brilliance of the Seas in 2005 under suspicious circumstances. As per Wikipedia:Notability (people), this article should be under Crime victims and perpetrators criterion. and as Wikipedia:Notability (events)#Criminal acts rules(see For perpetrators section), this article (Disappearance of George Smith) is not appropriate to be in Wikipedia. There is not sufficient information, also there is some broken links. these should be checked.Eusha mahmud (talk) 21:55, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Updated content and comment on Reference Links edit

I added some new information that I think might support the article's notability, as the bill gives the mysterious disappearance some historical significance. The text I added is under the new category: "Cruise Ship Passenger Rights."

I also checked some of the links, and numbers 3 and 4 do not appear dead at this time.

I agree - while seemingly not very significant on the surface, Mr. Smith's disappearance did lead to more stringent self-regulation in the cruise line industry. skatoulaki (talk) 16:32, 4 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
