Shortly after Dione Venables died last year, a more expansive obituary was published in The Times, which revealed parts of her history not presented here - history that help to explain who she was and how she came to be the person she was. I have started researching the published record to verify and put together a more complete pen-portrait of Venables' life and will aim to improve this article in the coming months.
