Japanese expression?
editUnder Rabi~en~Rose's section, it says"The Japanese expression "spend a life in rose-pink" means to spend a life without any worries."
Is this really a Japanese expression? Or does it mean that in French? I've never heard of it. How would one say it in Japanese? A quick Google search turns up nothing about this phrase being anything significant in Japanese... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.180.27.54 (talk) 06:44, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
That last paragraph
editWhat the F is that last paragraph of the Di Gi Charat#Games section? Someone who cares enough fix it...
also, there are alot of characters missing, including the new ones from di gi charat nyo...
- They could go on the Di Gi Charat Nyo article though. If you add those characters then you also have to add Meek and Rena from Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat. - Squilibob 09:35, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
But there is no Di Gi Charat Nyo page ;_; and the Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat page is too small to have it's own page....that's why I proposed a merge of the Panyo page to this page. Since last time I merged a page I got bitched by (i'm not going to mention who but I did learned I should ask first before doing it) that's why i'm asking here who is capable of doing it and getting both Di Gi Charat Nyo and Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat information to this page...or should I do it (if you want me to). Minako-Chan* 17:25, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
- I've only seen the first 4 episodes of Di Gi Charat Nyo! So I can't add much. You're right about having Panyo Panyo and Nyo! information on the main Di Gi Charat page. I will try to add a chart showing the timelines of all the Di Gi charat anime, showing how they relate to each other. Feel free to add Panyo Panyo and Nyo! information to this page, Be bold the worst thing that could happen is to have that info moved to their own pages. - Squilibob 23:48, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks! You sure did a good job! I'll see what I can add tonight that you didn't added. Hey, I was thinking, the main image is a fanart, should it be changed for a Koge-Donbo drawn image?
thank you again Minako-Chan* 17:47, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comment. I didn't add a Koge-Donbo image because it may violate wikipedia's law on copyright. A poster, disc cover or screenshot would be good as a main picture, so feel free to replace it with something like that. - Squilibob 00:00, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hello, I did a lot on DiGi Charat Nyo. (Actually, it's only the charactors, as you can see, it just seems like a lot), can I please make a seperate page for DiGi Charat Nyo? PiyokoPyo 00:00 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- I can't see why not. --Squilibob 00:20, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Music
editI have moved music to it's own page since it was big enough to warrant it's own article and by the same token was making this article too long and more like a list than an article. - Squilibob 09:35, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Japanese Name
edit劇場版 Di Gi Charat 星の旅 seems to be the japanese name, though I can't read any japanese so that will have to be verified - Squilibob 07:17, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
- Update, seems the source I got it from was wrong. The correct japanese name is デ・ジ・キャラット - Squilibob 11:35, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
The english pronunciation of the title is somewhat wrong, it's not 'Sha-ray' since it has 'kya' in the beginning and 'tto' in the end. Carrot would be even much more similar. Someone should fix it, since I don't know how to rewrite it. --23:59, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well I had a go at fixing it. --Squilibob 00:26, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
La Vi en Rose
editThe Japanese spell it ラ・ビ・アン・ローズ or Ra Bi en Rose....so even if Rabi was a pun on rabbit, & it's probably nothing more than a translation error that's been accepted,it would still be RaBi~en~Rose or Ra Bi~en~rose or Ra*Bi~en~rose, though Lavi~en~rose would have been a bit wrong too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.161.122.193 (talk) 10:51, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Megatokyo
editThe 'related anime' section comments that "The main character works at a Gamerz store and dresses up as Puchiko. His co-worker, Erika, is Rabi~en~Rose." That's half-correct (or maybe more than half. Two-thirds correct, maybe). Piro did wear a Puchiko hat one time, and Erika did wear the Rabi~en~Rose costume once, but they don't ALWAYS wear the same costumes. For instance, Erika once wore a school uniform, and Piro was dressed as a pink teddy bear in one strip. Also, on a minor note, the store at which Piro and Erika work is referred to as 'Megagamers.' I couldn't think of how to phrase this concisely, which is why I'm yammering about it on the Talk page instead of fixing it myself...--Tally Solleni 15:30, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Um...
editWell, in the "charactors" part, it says that Minagawa is realted to Kimura which is absolutely not true, prior to the fact that they share surnames. So I just fixed that.
Specials
editCould we get some information on the Specials and OAVs here? I've been trying to make sense of some fan-subbing info and the Wikipedia articles are usually a big help, but the minimalist info here isn't helping. In particular, I've got a fansub labeled "Summer Break 2001", which is definitely NOT the same as the 2000 Summer Special. And ANY info on the item called 'Kuchikara Bazooka' would be helpful. CFLeon 21:05, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think Summer Break 2001 may just be the Natsuyasumi or Ohanami specials. The Natsuyasumi specials were the ones based in the USA with Rodoyan (Rod Young), the ohanami are the ones where they fight over a spot under a tree to have a picnic. I couldn't find any info on Kuchikara Bazooka besides the fact that it is Piyoko's special attack so I have removed it for now. --Squilibob 06:40, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- OK, between the updated info and what I found at animenewsnetwork.com, here's the situation on the specials:
- 1) Summer Special (2000)
- 2) Christmas Special (2000)
- 3) Spring Special (2001)= Ohanami (or Hanami per some fansubs; is there a difference in Japanese?)
- 4) Summer Break Special (2001)= Natsuyasumi
I'm wondering if maybe the "Kuchikara Bazooka" was a prefix of the Piyoko ni omakase pyo OAV that got separated from the rest of the entry. CFLeon 21:30, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- From the Synch Point production blog: “Upchuck Bazooka” (Japanese title: Kuchi kara Bazooka) is a short bonus episode that was included in the Japanese release of Di Gi Charat the Movie. We will be including it in the US release as well."
- So I'm not sure it needs its own section or anything. It could be mentioned with the movie, though. NiraGreen 21:27, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- A friend recently loaned me a fansub labeled "A Rocket From the Mouth Special", about 13 min long. It seems to be the same thing. 192.220.140.69 00:54, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu episode 00 refrence
editFor sure I know that in episode 00 of the anime series (not sure about the Manga though...) that there is a refrence to Dejiko's Me Kara BEAM! where Mikuru (one of the characters as well as the main actress in the "movie" uses an attack called the "Mikuru BEAM!". Shouldn't there be a refrence to that in the article? --Ampersand2006 ( & ) 00:32, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- I thought that this was already in the article or maybe it has been discussed somewhere before. It could be added to the See also section under Other. A reference would be nice too. --Squilibob 04:04, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Another Cameo
editI swear they did a Dejiko Cosplay in an episode of Excel Saga.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.183.126.141 (talk • contribs) 11 November 2006
- That's already mentioned in the article.--Tally Solleni 19:04, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Complete episode list?
editI don't know which series I'm watching....it's not Panyo-Panyo. I have the original region 2 Japanese discs with 2 episodes per disc & a bunch of extras. This series starts on disc 3 of a collection of 11 & has all the characters from Panyo-Panyo & original. I thought it was the Nyo! series, but the episode synopsises I was reading din't match up with what I was watching, plus it doesn't say Nyo on the title. Episode 2 is something about "Black Gema." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.183.126.141 (talk • contribs) 17 November 2006
- Ok I have started the List of Di Gi Charat episodes article. --Squilibob 00:07, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Daisy Carrot
editOkey, this came to me when I got the akwardly translated mangas for DiGi Charat. I remembered that years ago there was this really nice gal from Japan I chatted with online who spoke pretty good english. She was always talking about sparatically humorus series like "Nekojiro" (manga) & "Daisy Carrot." & someone else mentioned that the spelling DiGi was incorrect, which I thought about as I 'put up with' Nyo! translated to Meow! & Dejiko's name being misspelled as Digiko. The katakana reads De (vowl extension) Ji (vowl extension) (Deijii) Kyaratto or (or Deizii if you go by the 'Za Ji Dzu De Do' line of the Japanese sub-alphabet) Yeah, it's a funny title & I can see why someone would purposely mispell the translation to make it look/sound cool, but it's no weirder than "I My Me Strawberry Eggs." Another girl (American) told me she guessed that DiGi/DeJi was Japanese slang for Digital. Lastly, I've seen some Japanese fansites where it's spelled デージー キャラット instead of デ・ジ・キャラット —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.183.126.141 (talk • contribs) 18 November 2006
- I have official posters that spell it like デ・ジ・キャラット --Squilibob 13:52, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm. Well I have read the volume 1-4 manga by Viz Media. Yeah, people say that Piyoko doesn't really squeak out but "Pyo"s out. -- Yeah, that's about it, Addict 2006 06:50, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Article image
editFor this edit, someone removed the image. Maybe it's because it's from a spinoff and not the original series. Can someone find an original-series image? --Addict 2006 13:17, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
winter garden at anime expo 2006?
editI can't find any articles that winter garden had a promo at anime expo 2006. I can only find stuff about tbs anime festa. Can anyone confirm that it was or wasn't shown at anime expo. All I can find is that Koge Donbo visited in '06. Thanks Toothpyx (talk) 22:29, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Does Puchiko doesn't wear cat bells in her hair?
editI found that in the article that Puchiko's info that wears she wears cat bells in her hair...... but in the DVD cover of the article she doesn't wear cat bells in her hair. Should I remove the info about Puchiko wearing cat bells in her hair? --KawaiiCafé ◯⁀ ‿‿ ⁀◯ (☏) 08:45, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
She does in fact wear cat bells in her hair. They're where her pony-tail holders are. They're just hard to see in the article image due to its small size.
