Doubts edit

I have serious doubts about that Latin bit -- Greek and Arabic, e.g., have some letters with parts that descend below the line. Do those fit the definition of "decender"? If so, the article should be changed. If not, then perhaps the article could state why. I'm not the typographer, though. --Kbh3rd 03:16, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)

The Cyrillic and Greek alphabets certainly contain letters with descenders. I have removed "in a Latin alphabet". —Coroboy (talk) 03:16, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Letter modification "with descender" edit

Unicode has a lot of modified letters that are namend "… with decender". I think it should be mentioned here and if there is a common meaning of this "modifier" it should be explained here, too. What do you think? --RokerHRO (talk) 09:59, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
