Author, Author edit

I made some edits and additions to a page which used to refer to Lodge's 2004 novel called Author, Author. Where has it gone? When a user attempts a wiki search for the page in question, he is directed to a disambiguation page which lists several articles with the title "Author, Author". But the one which used to point to the page about the novel points back to the same disambiguation page. Furthermore, of the many other pages which link to the now-missing page, none can reach the article about the novel. It is somehow lost in hyperspace. Can anyone figure out what has happened to the article about Lodge's 2004 novel? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Greg jinkerson (talkcontribs) 16:05, 2 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

Ph. D. edit

Hello.

What are the references of his Ph. D. ? At least the subject, if it was not published?

I found this and much more on page 15 of David Lodge: How far can you go? by Merritt Moseley. In 1959 he got an MA from University College, London, for his 700-page thesis on the Catholic novel, which he claims was in part responsible for the introduction of a word limit on MA theses at the university. In 1967 Birmingham University gave him a PhD for his book Language of Fiction (appeared 1966). [1] Hans Adler 12:50, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Reference Harkness Fellowship edit

Hello.

The given evidence is "Smith, etc....". But David Lodge himself wrote about this period of his life in the "Afterword" for The BM is falling down, Penguin edition, 1980. It's a little funny, to quote an author who probably took the fact from Lodge, and not to quote the original source.

If you need other evidences about Lodge, read the French page which is now much more developped than the English one (but you should also sometimes read David Lodge's books !).

Cordially.
