I am new to Wikipedia so i don't really know how this all works but i just added my own bio, my words, which have been copied by many websites, and have been told that it will be deleted for copywrite infringement. Not sure what to do... i rewrote the first line and put the cd titles in bold an resubmitted but I got the same notice that it will be deleted. I was only doing this because people told me I should be in Wikipedia. Personally, i don't care. So if this newest version gets deleted, well.. I guess I gave it a try but I won't be wasting more time fixing it...

The problem is that everything on the website that was referenced was copyrighted. There are ways to secure official permission, but the easiest thing to do is just rewrite it so there's no possibility of infringement.--Hatch68 04:33, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion

This is not a notable saxophonist. Sure, he has appeared on stage with a few celebrities, but so has every professional sideman. Sure, he has hired some big name musicians for his albums, but anyone can hire those people. It's a nice resume, but doesn't warrant it's own encyclopedia article.

Hundreds of thousands of musicians have appeared on stage with legends such as Aretha Franklin. Anyone can hire Brian Blade if they have the money. This article fails to show the significance of said musician. To give an example of what level of notability would suffice, the stub class article for Ambrose Akinmusire (who is mentioned in this article) shows notability, in that that musician has won a major competition (Monk Competition) and recorded for Blue Note Records. Additionally, while still in High School, Akinmusire toured with Steve Coleman. Later the trumpeter appeared on famed Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding's second album. These facts need only be mentioned in the article, and the artist's standing is clear. Nothing that you have said is a reason for speedy deletion. If you want to discuss deletion for lack of noability then you need to use the procedure described at WP:AFD. Phil Bridger (talk) 18:03, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
