Disambiguation

I think this should be moved to "David Bailey (photographer)", with the contents of the section on Other David Bailey's remaining under David Bailey as a disambig page. But I'm a little too lacking in confidence to do it, and am not sure if maybe as is is fine (as most will be looking for this David Bailey, I guess). Scottkeir 02:05, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

Well, I found a list of five other guys at the top distracting. So I made a disambiguation page. Whether or not this page should be moved to David Bailey (photographer), I don't know. NickelShoe 21:28, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

There is a link to a David Bailey website on the external links. Is this the David Bailey we are talking about? The site in question is: http://www.davidbaileyphotography.com/

If no one objects, I will move the page to David Bailey (photographer) and then moved the current disambig page for David Bailey here. (as discussed a while back above).--Roswell native (pls use signing with four tildes) 03:14, 29 December 2006

Hi. I had a quick look at the disambiguation page and recognise none of the other David Baileys. While this may just be my own parochial PoV, which I don't want to impose on others, I would argue that this should be the DB page as this gentleman is a significant photographer and artist, who has had a considerable effect on the development of portrait photography. It would be akin to moving Matisse to a disambiguation page. This David Bailey has many portraits in the National Portrait gallery, the V&A and other world class museums. They include the definitive images of most 20th century icons, from Nixon to the Rolling Stones.
I believe the link is to his commercial website, and the bureau owned by him.
This is just my PoV, so may I suggest referring the matter to a group - like photo-hist - who have specialist knowledge of his importance - before any rash moves. This would accord with wiki policy of having a main article for the principle use of any name, with a disambiguation for secondary uses. Kbthompson 10:18, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

I think now that we are up to 9 or 10 David Baileys, the time has come for David Bailey to be the disambig page. The process was started as an article was set up as David Bailey (photographer), but that article was folded back in.

Hello, I've removed external link to http://www.davidbaileyphotography.com/ this IS NOT the website of the famed British Photographer. 82.4.184.39 (talk) 11:18, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

This sentence seems odd:

He has not eaten mammals from an early age, has not drunk alcohol for many years and does not exercise.

If these are indeed facts, they should be sourced and presented in a different way. --70.40.135.205 (talk) 22:36, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
