Date A Live (season 1)Date A Live I – This is getting ridicious. A consensus was formed on the talk page on 4 August 2020, but moved back only a month later beacuse SpectresWrath believed the article name should be its official title? (He even did not join the discussion) I left a message on his talk page to explain why months ago, but he seems to igonre it, and I am willing to do it again here. The roman numeral "I" stands for "season 1", and it is for WP:TITLECON with Date A Live II and Date A Live III. This request, in fact, is nothing but controversial. Unnamelessness (talk) 14:58, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 00:59, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Season 1 doesn't a the roman numeral in it and we had this discussion with somebody else. SpectresWrath (talk) 16:13, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • With who then please? The whole article titles of the series were originally Date A Live (season 1), Date A Live (season 2), Date A Live (season 3), which were perfectly fine, until you move s2/s3 to DAL II and DAL III but leave Date A Live (season 1) there without WP:RM procedure. The whole story should've not happened if a proper discussion can be started, instead of requesting "controversial" request here. Unnamelessness (talk) 23:20, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
      • I forgot who but seasons 2-3 have official titles with roman numerals in it while Season 1 doesn't. "Date a Live I" is not official title. SpectresWrath (talk) 00:31, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
        • Which policy said we should use the official name as the title of the article? Remember it is you that broke the consensus first. Unnamelessness (talk) 04:08, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • Not knowing anything about this, based on the history of events, it seems that moving forward would be to move back to Date A Live I based on the previous RM consensus, and then a new RM to determine if (season 1) should be restored if consensus has changed. -2pou (talk) 16:47, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment it should be either move Date A Live (season 1) to Date A Live I, or just reverting back to where they stand, i.e. Date A Live II to Date A Live (season 2) and Date A Live III to Date A Live (season 3). These moving actions were made by SpectresWrath without consensus, who insisted they are "uncontroversial" (because they were not proper discussions before he took these actions). Unnamelessness (talk) 04:15, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • That's why I previously named it Date a Live (2013 TV series) but you still didn't agree with it. Look at the seasons for The Seven Deadly Sins, they all have different official names except for season 1 which is named The Seven Deadly Sins (2014 TV series) and it worked for them. SpectresWrath (talk) 04:37, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
      • Which is why I tried to sort it out in WP:ANIME but still ends up with nothing. More to mention here, sometimes you do need to avoid other stuff exists. Plus, WP:COMMONNAME is the policy that decides the title of an article. The DAL series is not like The Seven Deadly Sins and the like, which has a unique naming convention system, Date A Live is the actual common name here. In that case, everything here should be reverted to the original titles, i.e. Date A Live (season X). I've explained this at least three times before, you choose to ignore them. Unnamelessness (talk) 09:00, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
        • Goszei told you that Date a Live I has never been used by any reliable or official source, and have only rarely been used in irrelevant unreliable sources. SpectresWrath (talk) 21:33, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
          • So what? He did not comment anything in the previous RM. What I know is that the fact is the consensus here before was Date A Live I, but you ignored it and moved it through WP:RMT without any discussion. And you still yet to answer the WP:COMMONNAME, which is the naming of Date A Live (season X) style. Everything happened as a result of your controversial requests and incorrect moving procedure—all undiscussed. Unnamelessness (talk) 23:28, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
            • That's why we should use Date a Live (TV series) then if we can't use (2013 TV series) because your title name is unofficial. SpectresWrath (talk) 01:29, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
              • I ask you once again, which policy said we MUST use the official title as the article title? Even so, what on earth does Date A Live (season X) not meet the criteria? Moreover, Date a Live (TV series) is a problematic title, which season are you referring to? I fully respect the consensus formed before, and I am not like someone who insists article titles should be official, then self-moving without at least a WP:RM produce. Unnamelessness (talk) 04:12, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
                • Then if when can't reach an agreement, the rest of the seasons should back to original names cause this has dragged out for months with neither side happy. SpectresWrath (talk) 04:48, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I rather discuss with WP:ANIME

I started a discussion in WP:ANIME last time around, but it seems you choose to ignore it. And We had a WP:RM regarding the article title here, but you did not leave any comments in the 7-day duration.

because your the only one hounding about this

What I do unpleased with this is that every time you choose to WP:IGNORE the WP:CONSENSUS we established before, so I am attempt to correct this by reverting the article title to where it was as per WP:CCC and WP:BRD. Through this progress, I thought a new consensus was reached, which is reverting S2/3 to original titles, but now it seems that you are trying to flog the dead horse.

even I found sources about those titles.

First of all, where are these sources? Secondly, even we have sources, but we are free to present. Finally, the third time I ask you: which policy said we MUST use the official title as the article title? Unnamelessness (talk) 01:56, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

And please read WP:TVSEASON, especially this sentence, the article should be named first by the name of the show, and then by the season/series number. Unnamelessness (talk) 02:37, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Would like to withdraw my request since a new consensus was formed. Unnamelessness (talk) 13:07, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
