  • I cleaned it up a little, but it is still a little messy --Whipmeister 22:59, 21 April 2007 (UTC) (Comment moved from main article to talk page --Umbriel 08:39, 24 May 2007 (UTC))Reply

Improving this article edit

This article was recently proposed for deletion. I deprodded it, because I believe DataEase is deserving of an article here, but it needs some work to address the problems that led it to being proposed for deletion:

  • The article has no references. Particularly useful would be references demonstrating independent third-party coverage, and confirming the importance of DataEase.
  • There is a large 'how-to' section with multiple screenshots - 'how-to' content is specifically mentioned in WP:NOT#Wikipedia is not a manual, guidebook, or textbook as not appropriate in Wikipedia, and if this information belongs anywhere, it's in Wikibooks. I propose to remove this section from the article.

I plan to try to address these issues over the next couple of weeks, and would be grateful for any help in doing so. If anyone disagrees with any changes that I may make, I would be grateful if this could be discussed here, rather than reverting.

Thanks. --Michig 13:37, 3 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the large 'From nothing to an application' section as mentioned above. If none of the content of that section violates copyright, it may be appropriate for Wikibooks - anyone wishing to retrieve the content can find it here.--Michig (talk) 19:41, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Advertising? edit

It seems a leaflet from DataEase co., the product is almost unknown and every day legacy users abandon it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.114.145.37 (talk) 09:08, 12 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Really? edit

Who wrote the article is probably DataEase sales person. That product is obsolete since windows 95 came around. It is full of bug, unstable, unreliable, with a limited language. I have to use it at work and for that I am thinking to quit my job. The article really needs to be written in perspective: it was a popular product in the 80s, now ii going to die. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.150.42.196 (talk) 09:46, 8 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Very incomplete article about DataEase edit

This is in fact a sales article about a product who had a great history in the past. To be complete, it must refer Arun Gupta the foumder who died in 2004 in a bicycle accident, and Pete Tabord who maintained DataEase for many years, until his departure from Saphire to create Ffenics, a rival product. I have no personal interest in any of the mentioned software products, I don't use any of them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8A0:7C02:3C01:A82A:23F5:5210:732C (talk) 15:09, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
