Is Darren editing this himself? edit

Quite frequently on here it says his nickname is the Scottish Wonder. I've never heard anyone call him that, and quite frankly why would they, he's extremely average. I think Mr Fletcher must be logging on himself and doing this.

Following on from this who the hell keeps putting his nickname as Sparklehorse?

-- Do you really think Darren Fletcher is sad enough to spend his time editing Wikipedia pages? Gee, that's how I'd spend my time on 40k per week. Somebody kisses his behind and suddenly "HE MUST BE EDITING IT HIMSELF". There's no shortage of United fanboys, millions of them in fact, why in the hell would it be Fletcher himself??

--- What a ridiculous claim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harry McThompson (talkcontribs) 21:45, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've read that his middle name of Barr is actually short for Barbara because his parents wanted a girl. Can aynone confirm this?

WikiProject class rating edit

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 08:37, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

His height edit

It says he's 6 foot 1 and 1/2 and 1 m 84, however 1 m 84 is actually 6 foot and 1/2 and inch, so he magically grows an inch. Can I change this? 84.64.18.43 (talk) 16:43, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, please do. Ericoides (talk) 16:44, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
The Sky Sports Football Yearbook 2008-2009 and the PFA Footballers' Who's Who 2008-09 both say that Fletcher is 6'0". – PeeJay 16:49, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Another reference edit

I haven't found anything in particular to apply it to yet, but this reference looks pretty good for some info on Fletcher's earlier career. For example, despite being from Edinburgh, he had a season ticket at Celtic, but trained with Rangers for a year! – PeeJay 02:18, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

One team man. edit

It would be great if on the first information paragraph we could put that he's a one team man (only ever been at united). As it is such a rare thing these days I think it really adds prestige to a players' profile. I'd do it myself but I need some support first, so it doesn't get deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harry McThompson (talkcontribs) 21:48, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Place of Birth edit

I am absolutely certain that Darren was born in Seafield Royal Infirmary in Leith yet his place of birth is stated as 'Edinburgh'. It would be more accurate to have his place of birth as Leith. Leith only became part of Edinburgh officially in 1920 after a plebiscite. Anyone who knows Edinburgh and Leith understands they're not the same place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.29.182.27 (talk) 13:12, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

If Leith was a part of Edinburgh when Fletcher was born, then he was born in Edinburgh. All sources say he was born in Edinburgh, not Leith. Where are you getting this info from? – PeeJay 18:21, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
