Comments:

  1. The sentence "Formerly a railroad bridge constructed by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad in 1855, when the newer railroad bridge just upstream was added, they sold off the original bridge." sounds awkward.
  2. The sentence "In the 1932, during the massive state takeover of bridges by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, Darlington refused offers, barganing his way up to $275,000 (1932 USD) before accepting the sale, a far cry from the nearby Belvidere-Riverton and Portland-Columbia Covered Bridge, which were accepted for $60,000 and $50,000 respectively." is long and needs to be split into two.
  3. "In the 1932": no "the".
  4. "McCracken and his wife had come from the Meyer's Ferry, a local ferry service running for several centuries". "several centuries"? how long are we talking? Was a ferry around when the Native Americans inhabited the area? You need to be more specific.
  5. "hefty-sum of a money" sounds awkward.
  6. In the same sentence, you use "money" three times. Can you remove the 'for the money" at the end of the sentence?
  7. Airedale needs to be disambiguated.
  8. "Joint Delaware Toll Bridge Commission" should be "Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission".
  9. Change "The next April, 1954," to "In April 1954,".
  10. Change the name of the bridge in the crossings navbox.
  11. Are there any historical pictures of the actual bridge itself that can be added to the article?

I am placing the article on hold. ---Dough4872 17:15, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done with all but the 11th one. The images I'd think of using are not in public domain.Mitch32(A fortune in fabulous articles can be yours!) 20:14, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
