Name

Directly from the Q&A section of the web site, that I just checked to confirm, the first page has the question and answer:

"Question Is the band name a fast times reference? Answered by Dustin on October 11, 2006, 8:40 pm Yeah, Mike Damone, the ticket scalper "

So apparently Gohperbassist incorrectly removed the info? I didn't see anything where he might have gotten his original, incorrect, conclusion from so the item should probably be added back to the page. --pyrite in Cambridge

Apparently so. I thought they had said no, but now they say yes. It doesn't matter though, if you haven't already, jsut put it back in. Gopherbassist 16:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Diva Search song

WWE.com says they contributed song to the Diva Search, but I don't remember them mentioning it last night. I missed the first 10 minutes. Did they announce it then? Tim Long 18:55, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Who started Damone?

This used to say that Pino started the band, but now it says Vasquez and Hengst started the band. Why the change? Where was this information taken from? Gopherbassist 16:22, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Pino wrote the songs. Noelle started singing them with her own band at the time, "Noelle". The CD released was called This Summer, and it featured many tracks originally written by Pino. Later on, Dustin Hengst, Pino and Noelle, along with Vazquez joined to form the band Damone. Named after Mike Damone from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which was Pino's Favorite 80's film.

Currently the article's reference to "Vasquez" doesn't link to the artist, but a list of people with the Vasquez surname...

M Vazquez stands for MICHAEL VAZQUEZ.

Conflict of interest edits

The greatest entertainer (talk · contribs) has on three separate occasions replaced the Wikipedian-written material in this article with a wholesale pasting of a page from the official Damone website. The second attempt included the following edit summary:

this is what island/def jam has asked to be on this page by steve bartles himself.

It doesn't matter what commercial interests want on this page. Wikipedia articles are not the property of their subjects, but are supposed to be written by disinterested editors based on properly cited material from independent sources. Editing by people directly involved in the subject violates Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, and using copyrighted material that is not explicitly cited — on the webpage it comes from — as being freely licensed violates Wikipedia:Copyrights. Band members' names

There has been some back-and-forth over linking of band members' names. At the moment, it makes sense to link Noelle to Noelle LeBlanc because there is an article about her. But unless there is a specific article about the other band members, what is the point of linking to them? For example, Vazquez and Mike Woods (as well as Noelle) are all disambiguation pages—not useful links. -Phoenixrod (talk) 06:17, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
