Paintings from the National Gallery of Victoria edit

I have a newspaper cutting of an article by Phillip Adams ("The best are unelectable, Weekend Australian, 2-3 October 1999) saying that, while governor, Brooks would call Dr Eric Westbrook, the Director of the NGV, to borrow "a few pictures" for Government House. When Brooks returned to Britain at the end of his term, the paintings went with him, and it took all sorts of delicate negotiations to have them repatriated.

I'd like to see a confirming source in any event, but I'm wondering whether this is appropriate for inclusion in the article. -- JackofOz (talk) 14:29, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal edit

  • These articles should obviously be merged. I have no opinion on which should be the survivor.Jarhed (talk) 00:08, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Started on the merge. I guess this one should win, as it was the name he apparently went by for the longer amount of time. ~ neko-chan :3 (talk) 21:32, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
