As far as I know it is not relevant, one made a trip to London for Farnborough air display in 1974 but not as early as 1969 and certainly not part of a race. MilborneOne (talk) 10:39, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Harrier is subsonic

Beagle (what?)

The aircraft listed as a "Beagle (what?)" in the "light aircraft single-seat" category was a Beagle 206S twin. How do I know? I was the pilot, Stephan Wilkinson. Also, the category was not "single-seat." The Beagle 206S, for example, had six seats.173.62.15.212 (talk) 18:56, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

It had been intended to enter a de Havilland Mosquito in the race but the contestant wasn't able to get the Mosquito civil-certified at the required MTOW in time for the event.

The race BTW was from the rotating restaurant at the top of the PO Tower to whatever the equivalent was in the Empire State Building, i.e, the contestant had to first come down the tower and then proceed to New York. On arrival, he/she then had to ascend to a specific point in the ESB. C R Freud

I think the C R Freud named in the table of winning contestants is "Clement Freud" the raconteur, critic and former Liberal MP. His Wikipedia entry doesn't refer to participation in the air race however. Can anyone confirm? Blythtyneboi (talk) 12:30, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
