The facts in this article are accurate. I think the description of the local political controversy is emotional and strongly favors one POV. I personally like the trail, but the article should either give more rational consideration of the actual issues causing heat in the community, or else mention the controversy with no further elaboration. If I can make some time, I will rework the article to, for example, not dismiss out-of-hand opponents as NIMBYs.
