There are some pictures of the PSoC parts and tools in the German Wikipedia if someone like to integrate one or more here? The pics are on common, so feel free to use them. --84.161.220.107 22:59, 25 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

This sounds oddly like an advertisement for a specific IC. Anyone else agree? 68.114.35.228 23:27, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it seems like an advertisement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.162.99.20 (talk) 15:08, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Call that an advert? This is an advert! cypress.com/?id=1353&rtID=115
I would agree - seems to be an advertisement. The strange thing is - in the German Wikipedia we got the same thing, just in more detail. There the author explains himself as follows (his oppinion): "PSoC" is a Cypress trademark, only Atmel also has something like that because the bought the right from Cypress, Altera calls it SOPC "System On Programmable Chip" ... He claims to have checked other companies products and nobody used "PSoC", so in his opinion that is NOT a universal term to describe what it says, but a term connected specifically to a range of Cypress products. Sooooo - maybe he's right. Maybe he was right when he wrote it ? I can't judge that without doing a lot of research. BUT: In my opinion there should be a Wikipedia page dedicated to ALL programmable systems on chip from all vendors and linked by default to all those abrevations and THAT page should then sub-link to such vendor-specific pages like the one we discuss here. The Cypress trademark should go down into a "multiple choice for this term" selection and NOT be the default that somebody gets when he looks for the search term "PSoC". Just my opinion of course. --92.195.12.102 (talk) 02:38, 15 January 2013 (UTC) JB.Reply
Cypress Semiconductor Corp has a trademark on their product named "PSoC". A more general category to place this product into would be either "SoCs" (System-On-Chips) or along with other "Microcontrollers" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.160.9.64 (talk) 00:59, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
PSoC is a registered trademark by Cypress per cypress.com?rID=77928 and found it in a few seconds. • SbmeirowTalk • 03:58, 18 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page edit

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

This is completely nuts, because the URL has been banned for years and years. Now, a newer editor can't use a VALID LEGAL corporate link to add references to this article. • SbmeirowTalk • 04:37, 18 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 17:53, 25 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
