Same subject as Internet romance. JASpencer 18:58, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Romance in my opinion refers to a short-time relationship whereas cyberlove can mean a long-lasting online love relationship. Cyberlove can also mean sex online. Chérie 09:20, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I disagree with that, I would see it as "internet romance" being the term that would describe the more genuine relationship, and "cyberlove" being a less serious thing. Perhaps both articles should be merged under a different title that encompasses both. I find that Internet romance is a better article and is more in the spirit of an encyclopaedia, while this article is full of poetic nonsense, not to put too fine a point on it. Images about lightning and such like are not in any way informative about what "cyberlove" or "internet romances" actually are. Surely the whole purpose of an online encyclopaedia is to explain the subject matter to the potential reader under the presumption that they know absolutely nothing about it, and for them to finish the article understanding the subject, rather than to evoke images with flowery language. • I agree with Belueberry. This article should be promptly merged to Internet romance. It seems highly semantic to divide internet romance and cyberlove to me. MidgleyDJ 01:29, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I also agree with the merge. Reading through the articles, they seem to describe practically the same thing, and are certainly close enough to warrant the same page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prophaniti (talkcontribs) 10:51, 15 October 2006

  • To me, it seems that the Cyberlove article can be rid of completely, as it says nothing that isn't said in the Internet romance article. The Cyberlove page should redirect to the Internet romance page. I agree with Blueberry that the two terms may refer to different things, but I suggest having both on the same page, with a general description and a more detailed section for each. Maybe other articles about internet rekationships could also be merged in, and the page perhaps renamed to the more general term Internet relationship.Shed 22:26, 27 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
