Arthur reference deletion
The article previously had the statement that 'Peel Castle has been proposed as a possible location of the Arthurian Avalon.' This was deleted as the claim is not known to have been made in any published work, or any online academic work dealing primarily with the Isle of Man. The references cited for the claim were two websites of questionable quality and without evidence of research. Both of the websites were only passingly concerned with the Isle of Man. No known reference to Arthur and Peel Castle exists other than these two websites. Manx James (talk) 21:53, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
Religion
Not sure of the statement that Christianity was introduced by the English. Further checking is needed. Isle of Man Manx Museum states that first signs of Christianity on the island were between 500 and 750AD. http://www.iomguide.com/early-christian.php Celtic and Nordic influences on Isle of Man were strong before the English influences began, and Christianity is purported to have started with Celtic Irish/Scottish influence. The website of Diocese of Sodor and Man refers to this also. https://www.sodorandman.im/about-manx-churches
