Oxford English Dictionary definition edit
I have become aware that the early researchers and the Oxford English Dictionary define cruck as a pair of cruck blades, not a single piece. Later researches specifically refer to a single blade as a cruck. The first definition looks more accurate to me but I am not sure how to handle this one. I am thinking or working this into the lead. - I agree with you. But whilst altering it, I suggest you clarify - one member is cruck - BUT a pair = a cruck frame. Also, there should be less prominence on "crook." Half cruck edit
The articles Marske-by-the-Sea and Swalcliffe both describe buildings there as "half cruck". That term isn't mentioned here. But a google search shows that it's used (perhaps erroneously) on a number of websites. So ideally we'd have a redirect to here, and a note explain the nature of the term (or a fix for those two articles, if it's actually an error).
