Rewrite edit

This article is pretty terribly written. We jump into communication with Andre Rand, without even knowing who he is. I had to get halfway down the article to even know that he was the (murderer?) and I still don't really understand who he was or what he did. Can someone with a more detailed knowledge of what happened rewrite this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.65.144.247 (talk) 19:03, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree with the previous poster. Andre Rand is mentioned without any ground work that explains how this individual fits into the film. The article leaves more questions than answers.Snowmayne (talk) 08:01, 14 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup, Expansion, and Cropsey Urban Legend edit

This article is poorly written and sourced, and needs to be expanded in more detail than what it currently has. Much of the information in this article is unsourced while other pieces of information (specifically the 'Contact with Andre Rand section) seem out of place and doesn't fit with the rest of the article unless some information as to why Rand is so significant is added to the article. Unsourced information should either be removed or given proper citations when necessary. The article is also missing an appropriate plot summary of the film which needs to be added to the article, while sections such as the reception section are underdeveloped and need to be expanded in more detail than what it currently has. I have also noticed that there is no article on the Cropsey legend on Wikipiedia. One that is properly developed and sourced should be created so that all the information on the legend is not unnecessarily crammed into this article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 18:49, 26 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why does the urban legend redirect to this documentary edit

I’d understand if this was the only source but honestly this documentary doesn’t even cover the origin of the legend. The missing kids from the 70s and subsequent court case may have allowed the urban legend to become popularized, but it clearly predates those events. So I don’t understand why this page supercedes having a general page for the overall urban legend of Cropsey 107.184.41.220 (talk) 10:20, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
