The result of the debate was to make Criminal a redirect to Crime, and merge criminal (disambiguation) and crime (disambiguation). —Mets501 (talk) 22:32, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I propose that this page be renamed Criminal (disambiguation) and that Criminal be a redirect to Crime. See Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Primary topic. Comments? Russ Blau (talk) 10:53, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Definitely agree, the most common usage of the word criminal is the noun referring to a person committing a crime. The next most common usage (from the dab page) is criminal law, but people looking for criminal law, will not usually be searching for "criminal" and if they did, they would find it on the "crime" article. -- Jeff3000 11:20, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
After doing at least a hundred disambigs for criminal, I agree that it should be a redirect to crime. The only other use of criminal was to criminal law, as in "civil and criminal cases." I think that crime (disambiguation) and criminal (disambiguation) should be merged. To compensate for this, just add to the crime page: "Criminal" redirects here. For other uses of crime or criminal, see crime (disambiguation). I'll do this tomorrow if there are no objections and no one takes care of it by then. --Oatmeal batman 20:18, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
