Regarding the statement His best-known song was "Cow Cow Blues". the recordings I've heard are of a piano instrumental, with no words or commentary. Was it a song? ... dave souza, talk 08:39, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

It may be a "fair point," but it isn't necessarily an accurate one. "Cow Cow Blues" did have lyrics and was recorded by Cow Cow Davenport at least twice with different singers. While in retrospect it may be more useful to regard it as one of the first boogies, it was indeed a "song" as well.
