Talk:Covermount

Something should be written here about the recent trend for newspapers in Britain (if not elsewhere) to use covermounted CDs and DVDs to entice readers. These are typically B-movies and compilation albums, but recently the stakes have been upped: Mike Oldfield's classic album Tubular Bells was recently given away with the Mail On Sunday newspaper, and Prince's new album Planet Earth will be released by the same newspaper exclusively as a covermount. 217.155.20.163 19:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

History edit

Did it really start with computer cassettes? I thought some music magazines had mounted Flexidiscs. Perhaps they weren't on the cover, though? 86.154.56.36 (talk) 17:32, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done I see someone has added Flexidisc info now. 86.136.110.44 (talk) 21:02, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
