M&A: I propose that Corona Theatre School be merged into Corona Stage Academy. edit

Corona Theatre School needs to be merged into Corona Stage Academy. There is no reason for two is there? Best O Fortuna (talk) 22:09, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't agree with this merger
Corona Stage Academy was a different school and I am not sure of the accuracy of the history on either page. I am familiar with the Original School having spent some 30 years of my life living and working in West London. As a result I think some work needs to be done to improve the accuracy of both articles before a decision can be taken with regard to merging them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deevincentday (talkcontribs) 15:57, 10 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

This should not be merged. The original school Corona Academy in Hammersmith (which I attended) closed when Rona Knight retired. She agreed that a new school (Ravenscourt Theatre School) could take over on the strict understanding that the name "Corona" would never be used in the future. Corona Theatre School (now closed) was completely independent of Corona Academy, the only link being that the principal attended Ravenscourt Theatre School, and then took the Corona name. Also, the claims regarding the alumni is totally false, as all of those former pupils attended the school in Hammersmith but not any of the schools that stole its identity later on! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gorebridge (talkcontribs) 21:29, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

As a former pupil of Corona Academy who went on to become a teacher at Ravenscourt Theatre School I think this argument between "what school is what" is stupid. Every pupil who attended one of the "3" schools wore the same uniform with a different badge, they wore it with great pride and always looked back on the total history of the school. Every single person who wore that uniform deserves the right to have pride that they attended a school with a history dating back to the early 70's. In the official school rules of Ravenscourt Theatre School pupils were taught that "The Ravenscourt uniform dates back to 1972..." Show the green and yellow pride, and respect that the school we attended in the 70's made it through until 2012. Someone above also has incorrect facts, Mary Greco (the principle of Corona Theatre School) Attended Corona Academy, worked as a drama Teacher at Ravenscourt Theatre School and became principle at Corona Theatre School. Does that not show a great connection to the Green and Yellow Family. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.175.16.65 (talk) 11:06, 2 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
