Proposition/Opinions? edit

I've started gathering information to add to and improve the article, but there seem to be inconsistencies. Numerous sources use the terms "corneal reflex" and "blink reflex" freely to describe the reflex in which the eyelids close as a result of corneal stimulation. However, other sources actually differentiate between the blink reflex and the corneal reflex, the latter being the result of corneal stimulation, and the first one being the result of stimulation of the supraorbital region. Links here, here and here.

I'm not sure if we should create a new article named "Blink reflex", or specifically point out the differences concerning both terms on the corneal reflex page. It is clear though, that something needs to be done as the blink reflex generally points to something other than the corneal reflex (and judging from the number of sources that do not mention the "actual" blink reflex, it is not widely known). Perhaps the sources I read are wrong and the "blink reflex" is already known under another name,i.e Bulbocavernosus Reflex. Suggestions are very welcome. Marcus 15:26, 25 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I changed the efferent branch from CNVII to CNIII. Do we agree on this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.206.17.115 (talk) 01:54, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
