Unique names? edit
Updating the pages on the fishes in Wikipedia-NL, I came upon the genus Coris. Looking for interwiki-links, I found a Portugese page with the same name pt:Coris, but describing a genus of plants.
- Coris is a genus of fishes (fam. Labridae).
- Coris is a genus of plants (fam. Myrsinaceae).
How is this possible? I thought every species had a unique name, being a fish, a bird, a tree, a plant, ...
